Emma Fitzgerald

Bio

Emma is undergoing her PhD studies at the ANU with Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick as her supervisor. She is focusing on extreme climate and links to climate change, investigating Marine Heatwave events. She completed her Undergraduate studies at the ANU in 2022, with a degree in Environmental Science and Chemistry, and Honours in Marine Science. After graduating, Emma spent a few years working as a Geospatial Analyst at FLINTpro, specialing in land-sector data analytics and carbon-accounting mechanisms. With academic and industry experience, Emma has gained a passion for understanding and addressing the impacts of climate change through research, policy, and science communications.
