Skye Williams-Kelly
Bio
In her PhD project, Skye is exploring the applications of deep learning and Bayesian methods to modelling precipitation extremes. Her interest in climate modelling stems from various projects looking at mixture model and machine learning methods for identifying climate zones. She previously completed her BSc (Hons) in quantitative data science at UNSW, looking at alternative RNA splicing patterns by extending Bayesian mixture model fitting methods to the multivariate setting. Outside of her research she enjoys hiking, taekwondo, and learning languages.
