Shankar Sharma
Bio
Shankar Sharma is currently a PhD candidate at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) at UNSW Sydney, with a focus on the influence of urban growth on Sydney's precipitation. He holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric Physics and Atmospheric Environment from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China. Utilizing modeling simulations, his present research endeavors to explore the impact of urban land cover changes on precipitation patterns and extreme weather events, and their subsequent effects on water resources.
