Bio
Dr Paul Gregory has a BEng/BSci and PhD (Fluid Dynamics) from the University of Melbourne. Before joining the Bureau of Meteorology in 2008 he worked in the defence, automotive and aerospace sectors in fields such as infra-red radiation modelling, submarine hydrodynamics and aerodynamic optimisation and design.
While at the Bureau he worked across many areas in research including solar and wind energy forecasting and satellite data assimilation, and lead the development and deployment of operational sub-seasonal cyclone forecasts and long-range fire weather outlooks using the Australian Fire Danger Rating System.
