Dr Madi Gamble Rosevear

Bio

Dr Madelaine Rosevear is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania. She obtained her PhD in Physical Sciences at the University of Tasmania studying the ocean boundary layer beneath Antarctic ice shelves. To date, Madi’s research has focused on using high-resolution ocean models to quantify the effects of turbulent boundary layer processes on large-scale ocean and climate phenomena, such as ice shelf basal melting and ocean mixing. As part of the Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather, Madi will contribute to the development of a regional coupled ocean-atmosphere model, and investigate the effect of small-scale air-sea interactions on weather and climate.
