Dr Linyuan Sun
Bio
I am Linyuan Sun, now a postdoctoral research fellow at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) in the UNSW. I obtained my PhD degree in atmospheric sciences from Nanjing University, China. My research interests are on the climate dynamics and air-sea interaction. My PhD research primarily centered on the ENSO teleconnection and the associated dynamical mechanisms, especially including examining the decadal shifts of ENSO’s impact on East Asian summer climate and exploring the cross-seasonal impact of El Niño on midlatitude Eurasia relayed by positive land-atmosphere feedback. I feel very happy to join the CCRC/UNSW and look forward to contributing to the ARC Centre of Excellence for the 21st Century Weather, to improve our understanding of the Australian weather and climate variability in the present and the future.
