Dr Himadri Saini
Bio
Himadri is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. She earned her PhD in Climate Science from the University of New South Wales in 2023, where she investigated past climate dynamics using Earth system models, focusing on paleoclimate ocean biogeochemistry and the global carbon cycle. Her postdoctoral research at UNSW explored how ocean circulation changes influence climate and rainfall patterns, particularly in Australia. Now, as part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the 21st Century Weather, she studies tropical climate variability through observations and model simulations, with a focus on weather-climate interactions in tropical Australia and future climate risks.
