Bio

Chris is a physical oceanographer working at the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Weather of the 21st Century on how the ocean impacts our weather. The atmosphere and ocean push each other around by exchanging heat and momentum. The way this is done is complex, involving processes that occur on scales that are finer than our models. Chris is investigating how we can better represent these small-scale processes, so as to improve our ability to forecast future weather. Previously he has also worked on various topics in marine ecology and climate.
