Bio

Chenhui is a Research Fellow in the ARC Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather, based at the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Monash University. He was awarded a PhD by Monash University in 2025, studying the roles of weather systems in rainfall variability and extremes in Australia. His research interests include extratropical weather systems, extreme weather events, and Lagrangian diagnostics. He currently focuses on the extratropical transition of tropical cyclones and their downstream development, and explosive cyclogenesis.
