Alex Dunne

Bio

Alex is a passionate researcher and educator with an interest in climate science and renewable energy research. After completing an Honours degree in 2021 with Monash University and the Bureau of Meteorology, focusing on drought risk assessments in the Murray-Darling Basin and Australian cereal industry, Alex pursued a Master’s in Teaching while teaching science and mathematics in regional Tasmania. Now embarking on a PhD with the ARC Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather, her research explores the impact of weather systems on renewable energy supply and demand, both in present-day conditions and under future climate change scenarios.
